Exalt Academy
Our Story

Exalt Academy of Southwest Little Rock prepares students from underserved communities for competitive colleges and advanced careers by ensuring mastery in core subjects and fostering key behaviors essential for success, citizenship, and leadership both within their communities and beyond.

Founded in 2014 with just 123 students in grades K-2, Exalt Academy has since grown into a thriving K-8 public charter school, now serving over 760 students. Our student body reflects a high-poverty demographic and includes the largest population of English Language Learners (ELL) in Arkansas, with over 72% qualifying for ELL services.

In recognition of our academic achievements, the University of Arkansas's Office for Education Policy recently named Exalt Academy the school with the highest academic growth in Pulaski County. While we await the most recent data from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, our internal assessments and NWEA national data indicate continued success.

Exalt’s academic approach is rooted in data-driven decision-making, using Explicit Instruction and Project-Based Learning, alongside an extended school day and year. Our positive behavior culture creates a safe learning environment where disruptions are minimized, and students thrive.

As we grow, Exalt Academy continues to expand its partnerships with local organizations to enhance opportunities for our students. We are committed to being the highest-quality public school option for families in Southwest Little Rock.
